April showers bring May flowers. There's certainly been no shortage of flowers on campus this Spring. So what's of interest this month? According to our stats provider, Safari on iOS is consistently ranking as our #2 browser across all sites. We're going to have to dig into that one.
Not much of note this month. Conductor is creeping up on its 500th site, which should probably launch sometime in March. Ah March. Spring-time. We in the web office are really looking forward to Spring.

The "welcome back and happy New Year" edition.
I always enjoy looking at the shifting numbers over the course of a year. The rise and fall of browsers and mobile trends can be quite interesting. This past year we saw Chrome move to pretty much 50% of our total browser usage. And while the mobile browser/os precentages remained steady, the total traffic from mobile increased pretty much across the board.…
As usual, due to the holiday break, we saw a drop in overall traffic.

Currently, web search is handled by a Google Search Appliance (GSA) hosted on campus. We are moving away from that appliance to Google Site Search (GSS), hosted on Google’s servers. The impacts to campus are:
- Reduced cost
- Reduced maintenance
- Improved search results
- Current queries to the GSA may no longer work …
